Allen says many people are using the sandbags as weight for vehicle traction but he says they can also be used to stop water. Steins is one of a handful of stores in the valley that offer the pre-made sand bags.
The victims were taken to a Yakima hospital where they're being treated Today. The victims have been identified only as a 37-year-old female from Selah and and 37-year-old male from Wapato. No arrests were made. The investigation continues Today.
Drop boxes are located in Sunnyside and Toppenish. The boxes are also at Selah City Hall and Tieton Town Hall. There's also a drop box located across the street from the Yakima County courthouse on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
