Everyone must turn their clocks back before they go to bed Saturday night as the nation 'falls back' an hour for the fall.

Dr. Susan Rausch, Medical Director for the Sleep Center at Memorial says the older people get the tougher it is to get on schedule. She recommends going to bed earlier to help your body adjust on Saturday night.

The reason for daylight savings time is to increase the period of light during the afternoon while decreasing the hours of daylight in the mornings.

About 70 countries worldwide participate in daylight savings time, while some major countries like China make no change in time.
