During her term as the Governor of Washington state, Christine Gregoire made some crucial decisions when it came to public education.

Education spending increased 32%, totaling $16.36 billion, and per student spending increased by nearly 30% as well.

According to the Washington Policy Center, increased spending did not raise student test scores.

Also, aid to public universities was cut, and statewide tuitions went up.

Liv Finne, the Washington Policy Center's education director, was a guest on Thursday's Mike Bastinelli show.  She talked about the former governor's education legacy, and whether or not those policies will have a future effect on Washington's education system.
