YVCC Dental Hygiene Program Hosts Annual Sealant Day

The Yakima Valley Community College Dental Hygiene Program is hosting their annual dental sealant day on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 9:00am – 1:00pm.

Patients will receive a free visual dental exam, fluoride varnish, and when needed sealants. Patients between the ages of four and 21 can schedule an appointment between Jan. 14 and Feb. 7. Appointments must be scheduled in advance and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Spanish interpreters are available.

A sealant is a safe plastic coating that is painted onto the tooth. The sealant protects the tooth from bacteria that can cause cavities.

The clinic will be held at the  Weston D. Brown Dental Hygiene Clinic,  located on the Yakima Valley Community College Yakima Campus at 1015 S. 16th Ave.
