Yakima’s HopUnion Gives Back to The Community

A local Yakima business is helping the Yakima Police Department in getting a new employee in January. The new addition is of the four legged kind. Yes, a new member of the K-9 unit.

HopUnion of Yakima is covering the cost of the dog, its training and travel expenses. It is a way for the company to give back to the community and help fight crime.

President and CEO Don Bryant believes that it is a win win for all. The Police Officers can use a K-9 in a dangerous situation to lessen risk on their lives.

Yakima Police Department says it is taking applications for the dog's handler.
