Yakima Police On Alert After Terror Attacks In Boston

Yakima Police Officers are on high alert after the terror bombings in Boston. Chief Dominic Rizzi says even though Yakima is a small city it could still be a target for terrorism. Rizzi says “it is not matter of Yakima or any other city it is a matter of where are these people going to inflict the most disruption and fear” Rizzi says he has told officers to look for anything suspicious in the days following the attack in Boston. But he says it is not just the officers that should keep eyes open for things out of the ordinary everyone should be doing that these days. Rizzi says Eastern Washington could easily be a target for terrorism especially with the presence of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation.
