The goal is to make sure that all parents and caregivers are properly securing their children (0-12 years) in the best car restraint for their age and size.    

The event will be held at Dutch Brothers Coffee, 6520 W. Nob Hill Blvd in Yakima, on Wednesday Sept. 18 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Yakima Police technicians will be there to answer child passenger safety questions and help to correctly install child safety seats.  Dutch Brothers will be giving each child that comes through the seat check a free child's drink.

Parents can also call the Yakima Police Department to make an appointment to meet with a child passenger safety technicians at (509) 575-6200.  This is a free service offered by the department year round.
