Yakima Police Investigating Thursday Night Shooting

Yakima Police are investigating the cities latest shooting. Officers were called to the 1200 block of North 1st Street at about 6:40 Thursday for a report of shots fired near the Sunshine Motel. When they arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound outside the motel. The 44-year-old victim hasn't been identified. He was taken to a Yakima hospital in critical condition. No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Yakima Police Department at 575-6200.
