Yakima Police Identify Two Fatal Shooting Suspects

Yakima Police have identified the two suspects who were killed by officers during two separate shootings on Christmas night. Police Capt. Jeff Schneider says the first shooting was reported at a home on West Pierce Street where 28-year-old Adrian Escobar was shot dead by officers after they say he fired shots at them during a standoff at the home. The Washington State Patrol is handling the investigation.
The second person killed in a separate fatal shooting Christmas night has been identified as 31-year-old Jose Garcia. Garcia was fatally shot by officers after a confrontation at the Cascade Apartments on Sgt. Pendleton Way. Yakima Police are investigating the shooting.
