Yakima Man Arrested For Smashing Windows Along Nob Hill Blvd.
A 31-year-old Yakima man was arrested early Tuesday morning after using a baseball bat to smash windows in cars and businesses along Nob Hill Blvd. Yakima Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says officers found the man using a bat in the parking lot of Wendy's restaurant in the 2700 block of Nob Hill Blvd. Bastinelli says the man caused thousands of dollars in damage. "RJ's, Wendy's, Yakima Networking and numerous cars in the RJ's parking lot were hit"
Bastinelli says after the 31-year-old suspect was arrested police assumed he was on some kind of drug. He's facing charges of malicious mischief. The suspect is being held in the Yakima County jail.
