In an effort to give Yakima drivers the idea about the cost of gas without the state cap and trade or cap and tax program a special event is being held in Yakima today (Monday.)

THE EVENT TODAY IN YAKIMA WILL SAVE YOU MONEY

Backers of Initiative 2117, Let's Go Washington are holding special events around the state in which they're rolling back gas prices at local stations. An event is being held in Yakima today;
Monday, September 16th
Tall Mens 76
202 S 5th Ave, Yakima, Wa 98902
Time: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

THE YAKIMA EVENT WILL REMIND DRIVERS WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE BEFORE CAP AND TRADE

A press release says "join us in Yakima Washington for this special event to highlight the importance of passing Initiative 2117. We’re rolling gas prices back to the national average to help you save some money!" Today's national average price of gas is $3.20.

WILL YOU VOTE FOR OR AGAINST THE INITIATIVE?

Specifically Initiative 2117 would prohibit any state agencies from implementing a cap and trade or cap and tax program that drives up state gas prices. If the initiative passes it would repeal the 2021 Washington Climate Commitment Act.
"The cap and invest program was designed to allow businesses that reduce emissions to sell their remaining carbon emission allowance permits to other companies, thereby incentivizing companies to lower their emissions."

The iconic (and at times silly) toys, technologies, and electronics have been usurped since their grand entrance, either by advances in technology or breakthroughs in common sense. See how many things on this list trigger childhood memories—and which ones were here and gone so fast you missed them entirely.
