Yakima County has received an added boost in it efforts in fight gangs. the county has received a second state grant to support gang intervention in Yakima, Toppenish and Sunnyside. The $105,000 grant is on top addition of an earlier grant of $69,000. Administrative Consultant Harold Dehlia says the resource centers will be like one-stop places where parents and youth can go for information and services. Dehlia says that sites for the centers have not been selected, but each city is in the process of searching for a site. The second part of the grant will be used to hire one more gang intervention specialist for juvenile court.
