Yakima Chief Still In Running For Richland Chief Job

Yakima Police Cheif Dominic Rizzi Jr. continues to be a finalist in the search for a Police Chief for the city of Richland.
Rizzi has been searching for a new job for the last two years after being turned down for jobs in Spokane and Topeka, Kansas.
A new Richland Police Chief was expected to be named on August 31 but the deadline has been extended.
Another local law enforcement officer is also a finalist for the job, Al Escalera of Pasco who runs the Sunnyside Police Department.

The new chief is expected to be named by the middle of this month.
