If you didn’t have enough to worry about this weekend, now there’s this. A new study reveals men who worry, who suffer with extreme anxiety are twice as likely to die from cancer compared to men men who do not have anxiety.

At the same time, women with the anxiety were at no greater risk of death from cancer. That’s worrisome, but why?

The findings suggest anxious men may be more likely to 'self-medicate' their anxiety by drinking and smoking, and women may be more likely to go to a doctor. That’s why married men live longer - their wives nag them into going to the doctor!

Symptoms of extreme anxiety can include muscle tension, insomnia, an inability to concentrate and restlessness. (Daily Mail)
