Woman Found Dead; Homicide Investigation Underway

A 58-year-old woman is dead and Yakima Police are searching for her killer. Officers were called to the 800 block of North Front Street near the railroad tracks at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday after a man walking in the area found the woman's body. The woman has been identified as a transient by police but her name hasn't been released.
Police say the woman suffered trauma to her face and head and was only wearing a shirt. Detectives are hoping to gain some help from videos at nearby businesses.
