A three-hour standoff that forced the closure of a portion of Nob Hill Boulevard on Wednesday ended after a man wanted on a firearms violation surrendered to police.

The Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force was called to a home at 618 W. Nob Hill Blvd. around 4 p.m. after an officer saw the suspect come out of the home as the officer was making a traffic stop nearby.
The suspect was arrested after authorities used tear gas and concussion grenades and entered the home to find the suspect in the attic.
The man is being held in the Yakima County jail today.
