Arrests have been made after a series of fights that resulted a shot fired at a Yakima Police officer and a two hour standoff at a local apartment on Wednesday. Yakima Police say it started at the Yakima Juvenile Justice Center on Jerome Avenue when rival gang members showed up for a hearing of a 15-year-old murder suspect arrested in a fatal drive by shooting last year. A fight outside the center started a series of incidents around the city including a fight in the 1100 block of East Viola Avenue. A shot was fired at an officer responding to the area but the officer wasn't injured. Police started searching for a suspect and after a two hour standoff at an apartment on Viola Avenue a suspect was arrested in a trailer nearby.
No identities have been released.
