Wapato Mayor Resigns But Is Appointed Administrator

A shakeup in Wapato politics early Tuesday. Wapato Mayor Juan Orozco resigned his position Tuesday after meeting with the Wapato City Council. After Orozco resigned Wapato council member Dora Alvarez-Roa was sworn in as the new mayor. But then after she was sworn-in as the new Mayor Alvarez-Roa then appointed Orozco as the new Wapato City Administrator.
