Have you had a chance to get your flu shot? If not and you're going to the Central Washington State Fair you can get the shot during your visit. Students from WSU's pharmacy school, and nursing students from WSU and Heritage University in Toppenish are offering flu shots at thier booth in the Northeast corner of the Sundome. Howards Pharmacy is also helping to sponsor the flu shot booth. There's a small charge for the vaccine or they will bill your insurance if you have your insurance card. The shots are offered everyday at the fair from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The flu vaccine is recommended for everyone six months of age and older. Medical experts say it's especially important for those high risk groups that are more vulnerable. That includes young children, older people, pregnant women, and people with certain medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, lung diseases, heart diseases, and neurologic conditions.
