You are invited to an informational meeting in Union Gap Thursday to talk about a planned library and community center. The meeting is set for 7:00 p.m. in the Union Gap City council chambers at 102 West Ahtanum road. The city received $2 million in state funding for the $2.2 million project. City funds are also being used for the facility planned for the corner of the city campus property on Ahtanum road. City council member Julie Schilling says they'll talk about the the proposed library and community center but they want to hear from the community. She says they want to hear what the community would like to see in the library so they urge people to bring lots of ideas.
