Calling it a beacon of opportunity officials in Zillah are holding a groundbreaking for a new shopping and business plaza Thursday.

AN EXCITING NEW AREA FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FOR ZILLAH

It's called the Vintage Valley Plaza and a press release says the groundbreaking will mark the beginning of an "exciting new chapter for Zillah" in the creation of the new commercial hub along the recently completed Vintage Valley Parkway. Zillah officials say the future plaza is near an I-82 interchange along the Vintage Valley Parkway. They say the parkway is a 250-acre commercial and tourism zoned area which was recently developed by the city of Zillah.

THE AREA WILL WELCOME RETAIL, RESTAURANTS AND PROFESSIONAL SPACE

Two buildings, with a total of 15,000 square feet will be located within the parkway for future businesses to customize for retail, restaurant or professional space.
Michael Grayum, City Administrator says "This groundbreaking marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Zillah to create a vibrant commercial hub along the recently completed Vintage Valley Parkway." He adds "the Plaza is a beacon of opportunity in the lower valley, creating several new amenities for everyone who lives and travels to Zillah to enjoy all we have to offer here in the heart of wine country.”

 

GROUNDBREAKING SET FOR THURSDAY AFTERNOON

The groundbreaking ceremony is set for 4:30 pm Thursday. Along with the groundbreaking a reception will be held at nearby Yakima Chief Ranches which is located across the street from the site at 1005 Vintage Valley Parkway.
