Is Valley Mall Getting a Brand-New Clothing Retail Store? Signs for Charlotte Russe Have Appeared

Locals are getting curious about what's going up inside the old Forever 21 store inside Union Gap's Valley Mall near Yakima. I didn't see any new stores listed in the 'new and coming soon' section on their website, so I took a trip to the mall to see what was up and here's what I was able to figure out.

There are giant posters on the Valley Mall store front (2529 Main St, Union Gap) with a variety of models wearing Charlotte Russe clothing that say:

Charlotte Russe - A Throwback Store Name That Gen Xers Will Especially Love

I grew up shopping at Charlotte Russe in my teen years. I even thought about working there someday as a sales associate (I ended up working at The Limited instead). Their clothes reminded me of Delia's and Alloy clothing catalogs that I had begged my mom to let me get in the mail.

If you've never been to a Charlotte Russe store, it's a place where you can find all kinds of clothing and accessories for women and girls. I see that they've also added footwear to their retail lineup since my 'olden days' of the 1990s.

I noticed there were two men inside the old Forever 21 store this morning and they looked like they were doing measurements and electrical inspections. The lights were on inside the empty space.

A call was made to Valley Mall management for information about the signs but they did not have a public comment to give me at this time. As soon as we get confirmation or more details, I will definitely let you know.
