Yakima Police say two men are being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle today after they were badly burned in a house fire early this morning in the 300 block of Maple street.

Authorities say the fire was started while the men were manufacturing hash oil. Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says the men were "using butane fuel canisters and acetone when the fire started and it was followed by a small explosion."

Bastinelli says the two men, ages 21 and 37, drove themselves to a Yakima hospital and were transferred to Harborview overnight. Both are suffering from burns to their face, arms and legs. He says the men weren't arrested because of their injuries, but face future charges and arrest when they recover.

Five kids were inside the home at the time of the fire and explosion but none were injured.
