Town Hall Meeting for Veterans Wednesday

Local veterans and their families are invited to a special town hall meeting on Wednesday with the Governors' Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee.

Yakima County Veterans Affairs Coordinator Dave Brown says, “all veterans and families will get some great information about the benefits vets deserve.” That information includes benefits that many vets deserve but may not know about.

Brown says that's the biggest thing many vets discover at these meetings: How they and their families can benefit from the services. He says the advisory committee will be talking about financial assistance, compensation and benefits for both veterans and their families.

The meeting is set for Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Yakima VFW Post 379 at 118 South 5th Avenue in Yakima.
