The Central Washington State Fair kicked off at Noon on Friday when thousands of people took advantage of free parking and the $1 price of admission. If you were there on Friday you found many parking lots full even some private  property parking lots across from the fairgrounds were full. But while the fair opened on Friday the official kickoff to the fair for many is the Sunfair Parade. That happened on Saturday morning when thousands of people lined Yakima Avenue and enjoyed the two hour 58th annual Yakima Sunfair Parade. The Grand Marshals this year were Yakima Sunfair President Brian Campfield and the Yakima Downtown Rotary.

Monday is another busy day at the fair when thousands of kids are expected to pass through the gates. It's Franz Bread Day. Bring an empty Franz Bread bag and you'll pay a special price for gate admission and unlimited rides.

The fair opens at 12:00 p.m.

Tuesday night on the Corona Stage it's the Temptations. Will you be going to the fair this year? have you already made a visit? What's your favorite part? The barns? The food? The exhibits?
