The Wonder Drug That Works Wonders – Aspirin
Is a simple aspirin a wonder drug? It is starting to look that way. Cardiologists have long suggested the idea of an aspirin a day as a preventative for heart attack. Now there’s more evidence that an aspirin a day could keep gastrointestinal tumors away.
Researchers from the Netherlands say aspirin has been shown to extend survival for patients battling cancers of the gastrointestinal tract -- including tumors of the colon and esophagus.
Earlier this year an account in the U.S. News & World Report said the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force announced that certain groups patients at risk for colon cancer could benefit from low-dose aspirin.
So take one, and don't call anyone in the morning!
