The Happiest City in America? It’s Not in Washington State
You may not believe it but a move to a specific city in California you could see a big boost in serotonin. A report in the WalletHub says Fremont California, a city in the San Francisco Bay area is now ranked as the "happiest" city in America. It's the former home of Tesla the electric car company.
30 FACTORS WERE CONSIDERED IN THE RANKING
How did the researchers come to this conclusion? They say they looked at 30 different factors which they call "happiness-related data metrics" in three areas;
emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, and community and environment. The researchers looked at a total of 182 cities in the United States. Each city was given a 100-point scale and Fremont, California received the top score.
THE TOP FIVE CITIES MAY SURPRISE YOU
Fremont scored 76.10, San Jose CA had a score of 70.35, Madison WI 69.72, Overland Park, KS 68.93 and San Francisco had a score of 68.83.
How does Washington State score in the happiness survey? Out of 100 points Washington scores 54.4.
