TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Authorities have identified a man who fell from the top of a 125-foot waterfall after taking a photo of the view in Pierce County.

The News Tribune reports that 18-year-old Noah Atchison, of Bonney Lake, had been on a hike with a co-worker when he fell off Little Mashel Falls on Friday.

Sheriff's office spokesman Ed Troyer says Atchison had taken a picture from the top of the waterfall when he turned away from the edge, slipped on wet rock and tumbled over the side.

His co-worker found him unconscious in a small pool at the bottom of the falls and contacted authorities.

The incident comes after 13-year-old Jayace Rosborough died June 26 after slipping on rocks at the base of the waterfall. He didn't know how to swim.
