So what do you think about people with Ink? Lots of folk have joined the ranks of the tattooed and in fact, these days, it's very common to have tattoos, and stereotypes surrounding them have softened somewhat but maybe they were first formed for a reason?

Because a new study shows that people with ink are more rebellious and aggressive than those without. Researchers studied nearly 400 adults, about a quarter of which who had tattoos. They discovered that the more tattoos a person had, the more angry they were.

Those with body art showed "significantly higher" levels of verbal aggression, and were more likely to "get angry and argue back" if they were shouted at by an authority figure. Talk about wearing your feelings on your sleeve…or AS a sleeve!

The Daily Mail reports that one explanation is that people who have higher reactive rebelliousness may respond to disappointing and frustrating events by getting tattooed. The act of getting a tattoo is perceived as rebellious, or more generally tattoos themselves can signify defiance or dissent . (Daily Mail)
