Beginning Friday a Washington State public health order will require people wear a mask at all indoor and outdoor facilities. But the governor issued a separate proclamation just for Yakima County. That proclamation requires people to wear a mask before entering a business in the county either indoor or outdoor. Under the proclamation that starts on Friday Yakima County businesses won't be able to serve people who aren't wearing a mask. And the proclamation makes mask wearing a legal requirement. The governor says businesses could be fined or a business license could be revoked if the business doesn't comply with the mask requirements.
If people don't wear a mask they could be charged with a misdemeanor. The governor however says if you are recreating alone outside you are not required to wear a mask.
