Stabbing Victim Dies Suspect Booked In Jail

Yakima County Sheriff's Detectives are invesigating the stabbing death of a 61 year old man. It happened at a home in the 3 thousand block of Grandview Pavement road in Sunnyside Sunday afternoon. Deputies were called to a home where they found the victim lying in the driveway. 61 year old Pedro Florez who lived alone at the residence was rushed to Sunnyside Hospital where he died. A short time later detectives were notified the 57 year old suspect had been arrested in Benton County and was being treated for minor injuries at a Richland hospital. The suspect was booked into the yakima county jail and is expected to make an appearance in court later today.
