Special Teachers Get Crystal Apple Awards

Nominate your favorite Yakima School District educator for a Crystal Apple Award today! Local businesses and corporations sponsor the program that honors classroom teachers, educational teams and other certificated educators in the district.

The program calls attention to the teaching profession by identifying a few of the many educators who positively impact the lives and futures of Yakima students. Each honoree will be awarded a $1,000 Monday, May 2, at the Yakima Convention Center.

Nomination forms for the 2011 John McAlister Crystal Apple Awards program are available at any school or the district Community Relations Office at 104 North Fourth Avenue.
