Special Emphasis Friday At 40th And West Chestnut

The Yakima Police Department Traffic Unit will be conducting a special crosswalk emphasis patrol Friday at 40th Avenue and West Chestnut Avenue from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm. Yakima Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli. "We just want to make sure drivers and pedestrians are following the rules."
Bastinelli says the City of Yakima installed this crosswalk several months ago and officers will be in the area Friday afternoon educate drivers and pedestrians.
