Seattle's Zach Miller had a procedure performed on an ailing ankle during the team's bye week, but it's not known how long he'll be out of the line up.

The team announced Monday that the veteran tight end had the procedure. Seahawks players returned to team headquarters also on Monday to get ready for next week's game at Fedex Field in Washington against the Redskins.

Miller has six receptions in 2014. He sat out two practices during the week before the Denver game, but did play and had two receptions against the Broncos.

Team officials decided that the team's bye week was the best time to have Miller's ankle taken care of, but did not announce the nature of the ailment or how long Miller might be out.

Seattle also has Luke Willson and Cooper Helfet as the other tight ends on the roster.
