Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has, almost unbelievably, never received even a single vote for the NFL's Most Valuable Player. With his outrageously hot start to the 2020 season, that may finally change. If the folks at EA Sports have any say, Wilson is easily one of the best players in the game as evidenced by his inclusion into the elite Madden 99 Club.
One of the most popular video game franchises ever produced, Madden uses a rating system that tops out at a score of 99 for only the best of the best players. Earlier today (Oct. 14), DangeRuss was surprised with the news that he made the club by teammate D.K. Metcalf.

The second year wide receiver, off to a spectacular start in his own right, surprised Wilson in the middle of recording his weekly podcast. At the moment of the reveal, Wilson was in the midst of a conversation with another Seattle sports legend, former Mariners great and Hall of Famer, Ken Griffey, Jr.!

Wilson posted video of the award presentation on his social media accounts with the caption:

"When your boy DK surprises you and lets you know you’re in the Madden #99Club while you’re on the phone with Ken Griffey Jr for #DangerTalk.
Dream come true!!! To every kid in the world, WHY NOT YOU!"
