Science Says We Can See Bad Behavior Coming In Advance

In this time of non-stop political debate, misleading political advertising and insult and counter insult on the campaign trail, wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to know, to look inside the brain, if not the heart, to see who was lying, to see who has bad intentions?

Apparently we can!  Bad intentions show up in a specific part of the brain --and scientists can see them now that they know where to look. Somebody round up all those candidates and we can shorten this whole process!

Discovery News says the warning signs of pre-meditation turn up in the hypothalamus which is the part of the brain that also regulates temperature, hunger and sleep.

Neuroscientists with New York University used lab mice to study where aggression originates in the brain. Which I guess is ok since most politicians treat the rest of us like sheep.  Scientists say activity in that part of the brain spiked 10 times their normal levels just before the aggressive mice attacked weaker mice. I guess you could sorta put a bell on the cat’s brain and then the mice would know in advance…but I digress.

Here’s the exciting part. Researchers were also able to genetically alter the mice to inhibit activity in that brain area, making them less aggressive with training over time. That means would could fix criminals and politicians but then

why be redundant!
