We aren’t saying you need to change your behavior or your sensibilities BUT the Daily Mail is reporting that people who swear more likely to be more honest!

Researchers from the University of Cambridge surveyed close to 3-hundred people about why they use foul language and the answer is interesting.  The cursing crew said they did it as a way to express their true self and be honest, or to express negative emotions rather than to insult or intimidate others.

Cambridge researchers can also point to a Facebook experiment of some 74,000 people which found those who swore more online were less dishonest- same thing said differently.

The take away is assumed to be that people who don’t filter out their swearing will “probably” not filter other kinds of content which might lead to deception.  Said differently, people who are too careful with their language may be a little too careful with their content. (Daily News)
