If you are driving in the lower Yakima Valley this week crews are working on US 97. A news release from the Department of Transportation says drivers traveling on US 97 near Toppenish will experience delays due to traffic shifts as emergency repairs are made to the railroad crossing.

On Monday, June 11 through Friday, June 15 the southbound and northbound lanes will be reduced to one lane and shifted around the railroad crossing at the intersections of US 97 and McDonald Road and US 97 and S Martin Road during the day. Drivers need to plan for added travel time through the area.
