Richland Man Dies After Falling Off Cliff

A 72-year-old man from Richland riding a mountain bike was killed Thursday after falling 200 feet from a cliff along the Tieton River.

Yakima County sheriff's deputies report Stanley Nuxall Sr. was riding the bike on a dirt road near an irrigation canal south of Highway 12 above the cliffs. Nuxall was scouting for elk when he lost control of his bike and fell over the cliff to his death.

Two other men with Nuxall were not injured.
