At a time when the world is run on the internet and everyone is on a phone it's time to remember and experience a simpler time in Union Gap.

THE SHOW IS SET FOR AUGUST 21-22 WITH LOTS OF FUN FOR KIDS

The Central Washington Agricultural Museum's Pioneer Power Show and Swap Meet is set for August 21-22 in Union Gap's Fullbright park. it's the oldest running event in Union Gap. It's time when the entire valley can learn about agricultural history while having some old fashioned fun. Lots of displays of the equipment of yesteryear as museum officials call it and a special and popular equipment parade. You'll have a chance to watch old equipment work and find out how the valley grew under the hard work of men and machines. For example, you'll be able to learn about blacksmithing and watch demonstrations of the turn of the century sawmill and the apple packing line.

FRESH BAKED BREAD AFTER LEARNING OF WHEAT THRESHING

Check the quilt displays and other historic exhibits. You'll be able to learn about wheat threshing done the old-fashioned way and then enjoy freshly baked bread at the Bread Shack.
It's a show for the entire family with special events just for the kids including the kiddie train, the kiddie wagon, and for smaller children, the animal swing. Your kids will have a chance to drive a real live excavator and even maybe win a bike or toy by playing the Passport game. Other live events include tractor pulls, tractor games and draft horse buggy demonstrations. Union Gap officials say new this year, the Pacific Northwest Vintage Snowmobile Club will have a display at the event so you can check out some vintage snowmobiles.

The Pioneer Power show is set for August 21-22 at Union Gap's Fullbright Park. The cost  is $5.00 per person/children under 12 are free.
