Prosecutor Isn’t Considering Financial Impact Of Death Case

Yakima County prosecutor jim hagerty says he knows a death penatly case could cripple county finances but he's not considering that in last month's triple homicide case. Hagerty says he's considering seeking the death penalty against the suspect, 28 year old Kevin Harper. Hagerty says if the case warrants the death penalty the price tag doesn't matter. Yakima County Court Consultant Harold Delia told KIT News last week that a death case could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and could bankrupt county government.
