Apparently the threat of a ticket is making some drivers move to another lane to get out of the way of emergency vehicles stopped on the side of the road.  Police in the Yakima and Sunnyside areas wrote 37 tickets in the first year of the "move over law." More than 300-drivers where pulled over. most of them just got a warning. Troopers say that will change this year. The law says you have to change lanes to get out of the way of any emergency vehicle on the side of the road. The cost of a ticket is $250.
