Yakima Police say they may never know the exact motive for Sunday's home invasion in West Valley in which two suspects died. But police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says they believe the two suspects entered the home in the 1900 block of South 64th Avenue with the intent of robbing the three family members. He says they may never be sure of the motive because the two suspects died.

Bastinelli says the men had a knife when they entered the home but he can't say if both were carrying a knife. The two suspects have been identified as 24-year-old Chase Rogers and 31-year-old Brian Perez both of Yakima. Police have not released the name of the family involved. No charges are expected to be filed in the case but the Yakima County Prosecutor will make the final charging decision.
