Yakima Police have arrested a 57-year-old man in connection with a home invasion on Halloween in the 300 block of Viewmont Drive. According to a press release the victim says she woke up on Halloween night when a masked man entered her bedroom. The man was using a voice changer and he had the woman's cellphone saying he wanted money and pictures. The woman victim tried to leave the home but she struggled with the suspect and he fled when she was able to scream for help.
"When officers arrived on the scene, the suspect had already fled the house.  However, YPD detectives were able to link suspect to the incident through physical evidence discovered during their investigation.

The suspect was booked into the Yakima County Jail on charges of 1st degree burglary, 1st degree kidnapping, 1st degree robbery, and indecent liberties. He's being held in the Yakima County jail."
