WATERVILLE, Wash. (AP) — All evacuation orders have been lifted involving a pair of big wildfires burning near Waterville in central Washington.

Fire spokesman Jeff Sevigney says the final 30 evacuation orders were lifted Monday.

He says crews are keeping the fires within established perimeters and continuing to strengthen fire lines.

The Douglas County Complex fires began on Friday afternoon and have scorched nearly 35 square miles of brush, grass and sage. They are 55 percent contained, thanks to cooler weather.

One fire is burning about 17 miles northeast of Waterville near Jamieson Lake. The other fire is burning approximately 10 miles southeast of Waterville.

There have been no reports of structures lost or injuries at this time.

About 300 firefighters are working the wildfires.
