Pacific Power is reaching out hoping the public will help them help others this fall and winter.

Spokesman Tom Gauntt says Pacific Power is partnering with Project Help to assist those who cannot pay energy bills during the fall and winter months.

All that is required is for customers to include a donation in their Pacific Power bill that will help a lot of people.

Gauntt says, "In 2012 we raised about $70,000 to help more than 700 people throughout the State of Washington."

The donation can be given in two ways. A check to Project Help can be written and include in a special envelope in the November bill or customers can have Pacific Power include the donation in their monthly charge.

Project Help is an energy assistance program operated through the Salvation Army.
