JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — A drop in gas prices of more than a buck a gallon is too good to be true. Gas at a Fred Meyer's outlet in Juneau, Alaska, went from $2.92 to $1.91 overnight earlier this week. Now, a company spokeswoman says it was a mistake. Melinda Merrill tells the Juneau Empire the price was supposed to drop by a penny not a dollar. Merrill says they'll gradually increase the price at the pump to where it's supposed to be.
