Officer Doing His Job When He Shot Suspect

A Yakima Police officer was justified in fatally shooting a 27 year old man last month after ordering him to stop stabbing another man. That's the decision from Yakima County Prosecutor Jim Hagerty. Officer Joel Hanson killed 27 year old Yueri Acevedo Cisneros after ordering him to stop stabbing 21 year old Julio Cesar Zamora Cortes. Zamora Cortes survived after being stabbed 159 times. He continues to recover today.
