No Decision In Yakima/Union Gap Fire Merger Proposal

Yakima City Council members have decided to continue talking about the possibility of merging the Yakima and Union Gap fire departments. Yakima Fire Chief Dave Wilson told council members during a study session at city hall all he'd like to see is a study to see if the idea would work. The council didn't take any action in today's study session but did decide to talk further about a merger in a council retreat later this month.
