More snow showers are in the forecast for the Yakima Valley today after 3 to 5 inches of the white stuff fell in Yakima and around Eastern and Central Washington on Thursday.

The snow started to fall Thursday afternoon, causing slick roads and a tough commute for drivers.

Police say numerous crashes were reported around the city and the Washington State Patrol also helped drivers who spun out or crashed because of the snow. Troopers spent the afternoon clearing a crash on Interstate 82 near Zillah.

Roads are slick again today with more snow in the forecast. Authorities are asking you to take your time in you're driving anywhere today.
